The S-Tone concept

The S-Tone mouthpiece is born from the idea of segmenting the chamber of the mouthpiece into several ducts that channel the airflow from the tip of the mouthpiece to the shank.

Part of the airflow blown by the musician is prevented from interacting with the reed, then recombines downstreams with the other part that kept interacting with it.

This configuration is novel : It opens to original sonorities, highly distinctive, that are well suited for some types of musics.

Separating the airflow into two streams is made possible by inserting a separating blade into the mouthpiece chamber. The size and shape of this blade, its acurate positioning  will then create the  S-Tone sound.
